Long before cup holders took over the dashboard, cars had flower vases. Frankly, we may have gone backward.
This vintage automobile vase is made from bright green uranium glass with pressed floral and leaf decoration, geometric bands near the opening, and a pointed drop-shaped end. It was designed to hold a few flowers inside an early automobile, adding a small bit of civilization to the road before anyone had invented drive-through coffee.
The vase is displayed in a black spiral metal stand, making it easy to enjoy as a bud vase or conversation piece even when no antique motorcar is available. The glass has been confirmed to fluoresce under ultraviolet light.
Condition: Very good vintage condition with light surface wear. No obvious chips or cracks were visible in the photographs. The metal display stand shows minor age-related wear.
