A beautifully strange piece of old Christmas decoration. This large pink blown-glass teardrop or pear-form ornament is surrounded by a dense web of metallic wire decoration with tiny colored bead accents and a surviving metallic hanging cord. The wirework gives it an almost sculptural appearance and makes this one of the most distinctive ornaments in the collection.
Condition: Vintage condition with age-related finish wear and substantial displacement/tangling to the delicate wire decoration. The wire has deliberately been left as found and has not been untangled, straightened, or restored. Extremely fragile. No maker or country attribution has been made.
