Some things are decorative because someone designed them that way. Others get there by surviving decades of actual work. This old Pepsi-Cola wooden crate is firmly in the second camp.
Built from wood with metal corner straps, the crate still carries faded original Pepsi-Cola "double dot" logo advertising graphics across the side. The paint is worn, the wood is darkened and marked, and the surface tells you immediately that this was once a working beverage crate rather than something made last Tuesday to look old. At roughly 18 inches long by 12 inches wide, it is a useful size for shelf styling, record storage, blankets, magazines, or simply adding a little old-store character to a room.
This is the kind of piece I like precisely because it has not been scrubbed into submission. The wear is the story.
Condition: Vintage used condition with heavy surface wear, fading, stains, scratches, wood loss and age-related marks. Metal corner straps show oxidation. Graphics are substantially faded but remain visible. Please review photos closely; the aged surface is an intentional part of this piece's character.
