This unusual vintage miniature skillet-shaped piece features a dimensional gentleman in profile wearing a wide-brimmed hat and smoking a pipe. The figure is applied within the shallow pan, while the elongated handle has an opening that allows the piece to be hung for display. It measures approximately 4 inches long.
The exact maker and origin are unknown, and we would rather leave a mystery unsolved than give this gentleman an invented biography.
Condition: Well-aged vintage condition with extensive crazing, finish loss, chips and wear around the rim and handle, discoloration, and surface grime/patina. The wear is significant and clearly visible in the photographs.
