This vintage tin pig has clearly lived a more adventurous life than most modern toys. Made in Japan by Haji, it features a cream-colored body, blue printed blanket, jaunty ears, a cheerful bee illustration, and the kind of slightly odd expression that makes early mechanical toys impossible to ignore.
The original wind-up key and mechanical components are present, but the toy is not currently operating. That makes it best suited for display, a tin toy collection, repair, or a shelf where its job is simply to look delightfully peculiar.
Condition: The wind-up mechanism does not work. The toy shows substantial age-related wear, including scratches, scuffs, paint and lithograph loss, tarnish, discoloration, and wear around the seams and moving parts. The legs, ears, key, and visible exterior components are present. Sold as a nonworking collectible and not as a children’s toy.
