A small pair of vintage holiday advertisements, now without the matches. One matchbook promotes Gimbels, “The Store of a Million Gifts,” at 33rd Street and Broadway in New York, with a Lone Ranger promotion on the reverse. The other features NOMA toys for girls and boys, with Santa on one side and a pull-toy illustration on the other.
Both are empty and show age-related wear, rubbing, edge wear, and small losses. A charming little time capsule from the days when even a matchbook had a sales pitch.
