This vintage English bone china teacup and saucer pair is decorated with cheerful sprays of pink, yellow, blue, and green flowers, finished with a fine gold rim and a gold accent at the cup’s foot. The combination is unapologetically pretty without feeling too precious, which is exactly the sort of thing that makes a morning cup of tea feel suspiciously civilized.
The saucer carries a shield-style backstamp reading “Bone Character China” and “Made in England.” I have not confidently identified the manufacturer or pattern, so I’m leaving the attribution where the evidence does: English bone china with a very good floral wardrobe.
