This vintage carpenter's auger and brace bit set comes in its original fitted wooden case with a substantial assortment of square-tang wood-boring bits in graduated sizes. The bits show the traditional spiral and cutting profiles used with a hand brace, and the wooden storage box still has its old hinges, fitted holders and wonderfully work-worn interior.
It is equally suited to a traditional tool collection, workshop display, or the person who enjoys owning tools from an era when 'battery life' was determined entirely by how much coffee the carpenter had.
Condition: Vintage used condition. Bits show oxidation, darkening and surface wear from age and use. Wooden case has staining, wear, losses to interior material and age-related marks. Set appears substantial but has not been confirmed complete to an original manufacturer's inventory. Sold as shown.
