This is the sort of planter that makes a grocery-store fern look like it inherited property. The substantial vintage art pottery jardiniere stands approximately 6 inches tall, with an ivory ground, deep green vertical decoration around the lower body, and a raised band of leaves, berries and intertwined branches picked out in muted green, blue, yellow and reddish brown. The form and relief decoration give it a strong Arts and Crafts era feeling without us assigning a maker that the unmarked base cannot prove.
Condition: Vintage condition with overall glaze crazing, surface wear, scattered discoloration and age-related marks. The underside is unmarked. Please review photos closely.
