Antique Sterling Silver Floral Napkin Ring No. 1120

This one gets to sit at the fancy end of the table.

An antique sterling silver napkin ring with raised floral and scroll decoration wrapping around the exterior and a blank central cartouche ready to remain beautifully anonymous or be personalized by its next owner. The decorative relief has wonderful depth, made even more dramatic by the natural darkened patina settled into the recesses.

The interior is clearly stamped “STERLING” along with a maker’s mark that is not fully legible in the photographs and the number 1120.

Condition: Antique/vintage condition with significant tarnish, surface scratches, rubbing, and age-related wear. The floral relief and blank cartouche remain well defined. It has not been aggressively polished, because a hundred years of personality should not be scrubbed off without permission.

A substantial little piece of old silver for a collector, a special place setting, or anyone rebuilding the sort of dinner table where people once had designated napkin rings.
