This little vase looks as though someone captured a storm cloud, a mossy forest, and a bit of oil-slick rainbow and persuaded them to cooperate.
The handblown glass body is swirled with olive green, deep purple, blue, amber, and smoky tones. A pinched, lobed base gives it an organic shape, while the neck narrows before opening into a gently flared rim. Because the colors move through the glass rather than sitting on the surface, the appearance changes with the light and viewing angle.
At approximately 4¼ inches tall, it is ideal for a few clipped flowers, a small collected shelf, or simply standing on its own as a piece of studio glass.
Condition: Good pre-owned condition with minor surface wear and small internal bubbles typical of handmade glass. There is a small chip in the rim. See pictures for details.
