Wedgwood had a talent for making tiny dishes look as though they belonged in a museum, and this mismatched-but-perfectly-coordinated pair is doing exactly that.
Both pieces are made in blue jasperware with applied white relief decoration. One centers a classical profile within an oak leaf and acorn wreath; the other features a small mythological scene surrounded by grapevines. Together they make a lovely pair for rings, pins, coins, or the little objects that otherwise migrate mysteriously across the dresser.
Their pale blue color works especially well with traditional, Regency, grandmillennial, or collected interiors. They are being sold together as a set of two.
Condition: Good vintage condition with light surface dust, minor rub marks, and small age-related marks. No obvious cracks or major chips were visible in the supplied photographs. One underside shows the impressed Wedgwood England 39 mark.
