Some Hummels bring flowers. This one brought an entire lantern on a pole, which feels appropriately ambitious.
This Goebel M.I. Hummel figurine is HUM 616, “Parade of Lights” (Laterne, Laterne / Ma Petite Lanterne), showing a child looking upward while carrying a tall lantern pole. It stands approximately 6 inches tall and bears the First Issue / Erste Ausgabe 1993 mark.
The original box is included and identifies the piece as #159. The box also retains an old $235 retail sticker, a fun bit of its collecting history rather than an indication of today’s market value.
Condition: Very good pre-owned collectible condition based on the supplied photographs. The long pole and hanging lantern appear intact, with no obvious chips, cracks, or repairs noted. Original box has expected storage wear. Please review photos carefully, particularly the delicate lantern assembly.
