Some Hummels are quiet little shelf sitters. This one brought architecture.
Goebel Hummel Hum 487, “Let’s Tell the World” (Sturmläuten), is a substantial Century Collection figurine showing children gathered beneath a timbered bell structure, reaching up to ring the bell. The piece stands roughly 10 inches tall and is one of those larger Hummel compositions that works as a true centerpiece rather than disappearing into the back row of a cabinet.
The original Goebel box is included. The box identifies the piece as Hum 487 and bears a 1989 copyright date. This model was introduced around 1990 and is commonly associated with the TMK 6 era.
For collectors, the appeal is in the scale, the multi-figure composition, and the fact that the original box has stayed with it. For everyone else, it is a tiny Bavarian village scene with a bell, which is honestly enough.
