If the first portrait plaque feels like it belonged in a saloon, this one feels like it belonged in a grand hotel lobby where everyone had a hat and at least one secret. This early 1900s decorative wall plate features a woman's portrait framed by a bold cobalt blue border with gold ornamentation. The back is marked Pat. Feb. 21st 1905 and retains the original spring-style hanging hardware. The color combination is especially striking, with deep blue, aged gold, and a soft portrait center that gives it wonderful wall display presence. Condition: Age-related wear is present, including surface scratches, oxidation, edge wear, and some loss to the decorative border, especially near the upper area. Original hanger is intact. Confidence notes: The 1905 patent date is visible on the back. Exact maker and portrait subject are not confirmed from the available photos.
