Tiny paper engineering. Maximum emotional damage.
This antique fold-out Valentine card features two Victorian children standing beside a flower-covered carriage while a little cupid hovers overhead doing what cupids apparently do best: creating emotional instability.
The card still stands beautifully in display position, which honestly feels miraculous considering this thing has survived over a century of drawers, attics, moves, dust, and probably at least one person dramatically declaring they were “done with love forever.”
The colors remain surprisingly vibrant, especially the pink florals and soft blue details. It has delicate age wear throughout that only adds to the charm. You can absolutely picture this sitting on a marble-topped dresser sometime around the turn of the century.
Perfect for Valentine collectors, ephemera lovers, paper display shelves, or anyone whose decorating style falls somewhere between “romantic” and “slightly haunted.”
From Mom’s Collection to Your Home.
Condition: Fragile antique condition with visible edge wear, paper aging, small bends, and minor tears consistent with age.
Confidence note: Appears to be early 1900s Victorian or Edwardian Valentine ephemera.
