Three antique postcards for that brief stretch of the calendar when everyone is still eating Christmas cookies but has started making ambitious plans for January.
This set includes three Christmas and New Year greeting postcards featuring decorative period typography, mistletoe, holly, ribbon, bells, and beautifully elaborate printed designs. The ornate “A Bright & Happy New Year” card is especially good, because apparently even a New Year greeting once required the visual commitment of an illuminated manuscript.
Dated 1909, 1912, and 1921
Display them for the holidays, frame them as a group, add them to a postcard collection, or use them in a seasonal paper display.
Condition: Antique pre-owned condition with age-related toning, spotting, edge/corner wear, handwriting, postmarks and stamps where present, plus normal signs of handling and storage. Please review photos closely. Sold together as a set of three; exact cards pictured are included.
