1925 Peace Silver Dollar struck at the Philadelphia Mint.
Designed by Anthony de Francisci, the Peace Dollar was introduced after World War I and remains one of the most recognizable American silver coins of the 20th century. Liberty appears on the obverse wearing a radiant crown, while the reverse features a bald eagle at rest above the word PEACE.
This example is a circulated 1925 Philadelphia issue with no mint mark. The coin shows substantial honest circulation wear, including flattening across Liberty’s hair and facial details and wear to the eagle and reverse lettering. Scattered scratches, contact marks, and natural surface coloration are visible throughout. The date, legends, and principal design elements remain clearly identifiable.
