1923-D Peace Silver Dollar struck at the Denver Mint.
Designed by Anthony de Francisci, the Peace Dollar was created to commemorate the restoration of peace following World War I. Liberty appears on the obverse beneath a radiant crown, while the reverse depicts a bald eagle at rest above the word PEACE.
This example carries the D mint mark for Denver. It is a well-circulated coin with substantial wear across Liberty’s hair and facial features and across the eagle on the reverse. Scattered scratches, contact marks, and natural surface coloration are visible. Despite the wear, the date, mint attribution, legends, and major design elements remain identifiable.
