Designed by Christian Gobrecht, the Liberty Seated dime was produced from 1837 through 1891 and remains one of the most recognizable 19th-century United States coin designs. The obverse features Liberty seated beside a shield, while the reverse displays the denomination ONE DIME within a wreath.
